About Aluminum
The aluminium alloy is an alloy containing aluminium as the main component. While aluminium has the characteristic of being light, pure aluminium is a soft metal. By alloying copper (Cu), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), magnesium (Mg), zinc (Zn), nickel (Ni), etc. to increase strength.
Aluminum has eight characteristics
- Lightweight
- High electrical conductivity
- Not magnetized
- Resistant to low temperatures
- High thermal conductivity
- Easy to reflect
- Good corrosion resistance
- Low melting point
Due to these characteristics, we can see aluminium products everywhere, from every day to industrial products. Mainly in the transportation/transportation industry, home appliances, construction, food packaging, sports equipment, machinery, etc.
Types Of Aluminum Parts Processing
- Cutting/laser processing
Cutting processing is cutting square pipes and angle materials to the specified dimensions in the engineering drawing by laser. - Punching
Punching is the process of punching the material according to the die. We mainly use a machine called turret punch press. - Forming/Bending
Forming sheet metal is done by bending a metal plate (sheet metal) with two upper and lower dies. There are V-bending, L-bending, Z-bending, etc. We mainly use a machine called a press brake to bend. - Welding
Welding is melting the joints of two or more members with heat and joining them together. We use argon welding and automatic fibre laser welding for joining.
- Spot welding/Resistance welding
Put two pieces of the metal sheet together and use upper and lower electrodes to weld on the contact area. - Surface treatment
Alumite treatment is the universal method. Alumite treatment (anodizing treatment) is a method of artificially forming an oxide film by electrolytically treating the aluminium surface with an anode (+ pole). In addition, alunite treatment can colour it in various colours by adsorbing the dye on the delicate pores of the oxide film. Standard colours are black, red, blue, green, brown, gold and pink.
